EOS reveals plan to enhance the network and renew partnership with Object Computing

  • EOS has outlined its plan to work with Object Computing Inc. to turn the community back into the “Ethereum killer” it was originally designed to be.
  • OCI’s technology team has unparalleled experience in developing and creating solutions using today’s advanced technologies.

The EOS Community Foundation is getting down to the small details of the EOS blockchain upgrade. They released a series of four blue papers that cover various aspects of the EOSIO blockchain and how to improve it. It announced it would work with Object Computing Inc. (OCI), a longtime EOS developer, to turn the community back into the “Ethereum killer” it was originally designed to be.

The EOS Network Foundation (ENF) is a non-profit organization that coordinates financial and non-financial support to encourage the growth and development of the EOS network. ENF is the hub of the EOS network, using the power of decentralization as a force for positive global change to chart a coordinated future for the EOS network.

About Object Computing, Inc.

Object Computing, Inc. (OCI) is a modern consulting company that takes business from ideas to results using leading-edge technology. OCI’s technology team has unparalleled experience in developing and creating solutions using today’s advanced technologies, including machine learning, blockchain, the Internet of Things, and the cloud.

As one of the innovators of open source enterprise solutions, OCI strategically integrates best-in-class open source technologies into enterprise solutions to deliver impressive digital capabilities that deliver exceptional scalability, reusability, security, and quality. Visit their official website to learn more about how OCI partners with customers and the community to deliver effective technology solutions. OCI has previously worked with NASA, Rio Tinto, and Bayer to solve problems with APIs, which were detailed in API+.

Details of EOS and OCI partnerhip

Working with Object Computing, ENF said its first action would likely be to introduce a number of enhancements to the node’s endpoint API clients. The main flaw it is trying to address is the transaction lifecycle in the API. Customers have long complained about the lack of tools to reliably launch, execute and monitor transactions on the blockchain and predict prices of useful resources (gas charges).

The plan is to develop an entirely new API endpoint that can include tools to estimate useful resource usage for each transaction, reduce irrelevant transaction rates, and enhance transaction monitoring capabilities.

OCI has been involved in the EOS project for a very long time, having previously worked with former Blockchain lead developer One to create its own authentic blockchain. Blockchain. One was later expelled from EOS by its group, which coalesced around developer Yves La Rose and the new ENF for lack of progress.

EOS, which again raised a staggering $4 billion during its 2018 ICO, struggled to match the advances of competing tasks like Ethereum. However, with La Rose and ENF leading the venture, the EOS group regained confidence that the community would finally live up to its potential.

ENF’s work with OCI is likely to be key to that, La Rose said:

Having access to multiple industry leading development teams will undoubtedly strengthen EOS’s core codebase, with many teams working in parallel to implement a consolidated roadmap of products and features as outlined in our Blue Papers

OCI’s chief blockchain engineer Brian Johnson added that he is excited by the prospect of working with ENF and that he is committed to making EOS “essentially the most efficient and easy-to-use blockchain on earth.”
