The recent Ethereum foundation and UNICEF – the United Nations International Children’s Education Fund – went into a funding transaction where the Foundation donated cryptocurrency in Bitcoin BTC and Ethereum ETH for crypto experiments.

The donation worth about 150,000 in the United States dollar has been put into the UNICEF’s cryptocurrency-related experimental funding area and believed to be in an effort to influence the sector.

The influence Ethereum Foundation is believed to be used for cryptocurrency and blockchain’s digital ledger technology (DLT), and for good measures.

Ethereum Foundation and UNICEF driving change

The Ethereum Foundation and UNICEF partnership is already bearing fruits that were not yet in sight by the other more monetary partnerships-focused cryptocurrencies like Ripple.

Since the funding, an Ethereum-based internal payments system has been deployed at the UNICEF’s Kazakhstan office. The project still under the approval process would be the first of its kind driving the DLT change at the prestigious United Nations.

Vitalik Buterin has also shared his roadmap of the Ethereum blockchain recently, and the foundation director Aya Miyaguchi believes that it is partnerships like the Ethereum Foundation and UNICEF that would eventually drive the change for Ethereum, in turn, cryptocurrency mass adaption.

Ethereum Foundation and UNICEF also plan to bring internet facilities and DLT based ecosystems into reality. This is all in a bid to help the coming generations not only be sustainable but ready for the change at the grass-root level.

The steps taken are welcomed by the cryptocurrency community as a forward-thinking measure for not only Ethereum adaptability but also the overall cryptocurrency mass adaption.
