Playboy’ s virtual art gallery will have a range of NFTs created by digital collage performer Slimesunday in partnership with Playboy ‘s content curators dubbed “ Liquid Summer”.

“My process has continually involved scanning images through magazines, so when Playboy offered complete access to their archive every thing really came full circle for me. Working with Executive Editor Liz Suman and the entire Playboy group has allowed me to get the full story behind each image in a deeper way compared to I normally would be able to. ”
Web hosting Virtual NFTs on Decentraland
As mentioned, Playboy shall be hosting the virtual art gallery and electronic art NFTs on the Decentraland metaverse. Decentraland’s Dave Carr said that Playboy’ s choice is quite in alignment with its creative edge. “Playboy has long been synonymous with innovation plus pushing boundaries, ” added Carr.
Having got access to the fully-customized virtual gallery in Decentraland’ s Crypto Valley, Hyperbeast describes initial visuals. The entry has a floor-to-ceiling indication boasting the collection name. The attached rooms have “ newcomers, where each large-scale, virtual piece will be displayed atop grey walls”. Upon visiting the entire art collection, a co-branded bar serves users virtual drinks. The space also will feature live events like DJs and parties. Playboy executive Liz Suman told Hyperbeast;
“We wanted to make a big ‘splash’ with Playboy’s first collection of NFTs — and the first electronic Playboy cover ever to be sold — so it just produced sense for us to enjoy the launch in a digital art gallery in the metaverse given how digital our a year ago has been”.
