Breez provides announced that Voltage will help handle Lightning nodes for its built-in podcasting network.
After its recent integration of a native podcasting network, the Breez Super client has announced that it is partnering with Lightning System node hosting platform Voltage to give podcasters more smooth connectivity to the Layer 2 network.
“While podcasting requires both audience and podcasters, the two organizations have different technical requirements, and our mobile Super platform (predictably) serves the listeners better than the creators, ” Breez’s Roy Sheinfeld explained in an announcement post . “Voltage offers exactly what podcasters need: Lightning nodes along with ceaseless connectivity and minimum configuration, which is why Breez offers partnered with them to deliver podcaster nodes. ”
While Volts will provide Tor-enabled Lightning nodes that are upgrading and maintained for Breez podcasters, Breez will make sure that those nodes have one-million-sat channels with sufficient incoming liquidity and successful payment routing. With some of the technical burden of maintaining Lightning nodes and channels taken care of, the goal is to ensure that podcasters can be directly paid out for their content by audience via the Lightning Network, with no need for intermediary advertising networks.
In the days since Breez announced the podcasting network, it has seen enthusiasm from users.
“Adding podcasts to Breez has turned out to be such a big hit with audience that finding a way to assist podcasters get started seemed like a natural — and necessary — extension, ” Sheinfeld informed Bitcoin Magazine . “Adding our own Lightning service provider services in order to Voltage’s low-config, reliable nodes lets us onboard podcasters with all the least friction imaginable. This collaboration is in perfect tranquility with our platform’s philosophy. ”
